My name is Carla Procaccini and I live in Rome.
I am a freelance translator of financial and legal documents from English into Italian, my mother tongue. I began my profession as a freelance translator in 1999, over the years specializing in the financial (asset management in particular) and legal fields.
Each day I translate documents pertaining to asset management, prospectuses for investment purposes, yearly and six-monthly reports, communications to shareholders, comments on market trends as well as financial statements and legal documents such as statutes, acts of constitution, business and licensing contracts and company policies and much more. I am an ordinary member of AITI (Associazione Italiana Traduttori e Interpreti) since 2001 and a certified member of ATA (American Translator Association) since 2011.
I graduated from the Scuola Superiore per Interpreti e Traduttori in Rome
I earned my degree in Languages and Foreign Literature at the IULM University in Milan
I followed up with a specialized course in financial translating, a three-month online course on legal translations from English into Italian organized by the Università degli Studi dell’Insubria
I continue to frequent numerous seminars and workshops on financial and legal translations
As a professional expert in the financial and legal sectors, I can assure quality and precision, fundamental characteristics for any translation assignment: a tiny error in fact is sufficient to create very negative consequences for a business.
Once a translation is completed, I proceed to a scrupulous review of style and terminology, and then conduct a careful control on the quality of the text in Italian, correcting any mistakes in numbers, dates, punctuation marks.
Another important aspect is uniformity of terms: in a document or for a certain client key financial or legal terms must always be translated in the same way.
I can assure this type of uniformity by using the most advanced technologies that provide support for translations.
